Zm\u011bnu ale p\u0159inesl rok 1876, kdy n\u011bmeck\u00fd vyn\u00e1lezce Nicolaus Otto sestrojil prvn\u00ed v\u00fdbu\u0161n\u00fd neboli spalovac\u00ed motor.\t\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Po tomto zvratu p\u0159ich\u00e1z\u00ed jeden patent za druh\u00fdm. Roku 1885 vyrobil Karl Benz motorovou t\u0159\u00edkolku. Legend\u00e1rn\u00ed je tak\u00e9 prvn\u00ed d\u00e1lkov\u00e1 j\u00edzda automobilem, kterou podnikla jeho \u017eena Bertha z Mannheimu do Pforzheimu. V pat\u00e1ch Benzovi p\u0159ich\u00e1z\u00ed dal\u0161\u00ed n\u011bme\u010dt\u00ed vyn\u00e1lezci: Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach a Rudolf Diesel, proslul\u00fd sv\u00fdm vzn\u011btov\u00fdm motorem. Prvn\u00ed automobilka na \u010desk\u00e9m \u00fazem\u00ed byla zalo\u017eena v roce 1850 v Kop\u0159ivnici.\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Av\u0161ak a\u010d se v\u00fdvoj posouv\u00e1 z\u00e1vratn\u00fdm tempem kup\u0159edu, motorov\u00e1 vozidla st\u00e1le z\u016fst\u00e1vaj\u00ed vymo\u017eenost\u00ed vy\u0161\u0161\u00edch t\u0159\u00edd, a to se rozhodl zm\u011bnit pr\u00e1v\u011b americk\u00fd pr\u016fkopn\u00edk automobilov\u00e9ho pr\u016fmyslu Henry Ford. M\u00edsto hlavn\u00edho in\u017een\u00fdra ve firm\u011b T. A. Po ne\u00fasp\u011bchu a krachu sv\u00e9 prvn\u00ed spole\u010dnosti se nevzdal a roku 1903, ve sv\u00fdch \u010dty\u0159iceti letech, zalo\u017eil Ford Motor Company, kde uskute\u010dnil sv\u00e9 nad\u010dasov\u00e9 pl\u00e1ny. Zavedl mont\u00e1\u017en\u00ed linky a p\u00e1sovou v\u00fdrobu, d\u00edky n\u00ed\u017e mohl zam\u011bstn\u00e1vat nezku\u0161en\u00e9 d\u011bln\u00edky, kter\u00fdm nav\u00edc poskytoval soci\u00e1ln\u00ed program.\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Historick\u00fdm miln\u00edkem se stal rok 1908, kdy byl na trh uveden Model T, kter\u00fd proslavil jm\u00e9no Ford a byl vyhl\u00e1\u0161en Automobilem stolet\u00ed. Jeho unik\u00e1tnost spo\u010d\u00edvala v cenov\u00e9 dostupnosti pro \u0161irok\u00e9 lidov\u00e9 vrstvy a masovou produkc\u00ed umo\u017en\u011bnou modern\u00edm v\u00fdrobn\u00edm syst\u00e9mem. Do roku 1927 jich bylo prod\u00e1no v\u00edce ne\u017e 15 milion\u016f.\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Skvrnou Henryho Forda byl jeho p\u0159edv\u00e1le\u010dn\u00fd politick\u00fd postoj. Otev\u0159en\u011b se p\u0159ikl\u00e1n\u011bl k ide\u00e1l\u016fm nacismu a dokonce NSDAP finan\u010dn\u011b podporoval. Za 2. sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky ji\u017e podnik vedl tak\u00e9 jeho syn Edsel, kter\u00fd zah\u00e1jil v\u00fdrobu bombard\u00e9r\u016f. Na konci v\u00e1lky firmu ofici\u00e1ln\u011b p\u0159evzal Ford\u016fv vnuk Henry II.\t\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Roku 1946 byl Henry Ford ocen\u011bn zlatou medail\u00ed za p\u0159\u00ednos pro blaho lidstva Americk\u00fdm ropn\u00fdm institutem. Zem\u0159el o rok pozd\u011bji ve v\u011bku 83 let.
